Raffle description and rules

Organizer:

Cinema Italian Style (a dba of Italian Cultural Center il Punto, a 501(c)3 Association)

Licensing:

Cinema Italian Style organization operates as a non-profit and has already submitted a raffle license application with the Washington State Gambling Commission.

Description:

this raffle will support the operations of Cinema Italian Style Festival 2026, that will take place at SIFF in Seattle on November 18-22, 2026

Dates:

the raffle will be live on August 15th, while ticket sales will conclude prior to the final drawing on November 22, 2026.

Tickets:

  1. Will be printed, have the graphic design of CIS, and each one will be sequentially numbered starting from 0001 
  2. Prices: 1 ticket will be $10.
  3. Number of Tickets available for purchase: there will be a maximum of 25 tickets that can be purchased by a single individual, per day.

How to enter

  1. Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the time of ticket purchase.
  2. Tickets can be purchased via cash, check, credit card, Venmo.
  3. For each ticket purchased, the participant’s contact information will be recorded by CIS for winner notification purposes, and the corresponding raffle ticket(s) will be entered into the drawing pool.
  4. There is no limit to the number of tickets an individual can purchase.
  5. Members of the CIS Executive Committee are ineligible to participate in the raffle.
  6. Volunteers or contractors are eligible to purchase raffle tickets.
  7. Sales close at start of final drawing.

Prizes

  • 5 pairs (10 tickets total) of main cabin, systemwide, roundtrip ticket vouchers offered by Alaska Airlines (only valid for travel to and from one city, not valid for multi-city travel; valid for one year of issuance, no blackout dates)
  • 1 x Tutta Bella $100 gift card
  • 1 x Bar del Corso $100 gift card
  • 4 x Caffè Umbria gift $25 cards
  • A Cooking Class for 2, by Italian Sisters of Seattle

Additional prizes may be added prior to the final drawing and will be published on the official CIS website by October 1st, 2026.

 

Drawings

  1. There will be TWO drawings, one at the opening Night of CIS on November 18th (at the SIFF Cinema Uptown before the first screening), one on the closing night of CIS on November 22nd (at the SIFF Cinema Uptown at the end of the last screening).

    The exact drawing times will be published on the official Cinema Italian Style website no later than October 1, 2026. Any changes to drawing times will be publicly posted prior to the drawing.
  2. All dates and times are Pacific Time.
  3. Winner(s) will be selected via a random draw from all eligible entries.
  4. Presence at the drawing is not required to win. Winners will be notified using the contact information provided at the time of entry.

Prizes at each drawing:

  1. On Nov 18th we will award 2 pairs of Alaska tickets
  2. All other remaining prizes will be awarded on Nov 22nd

Drawing method:

we will use a bowl and have a physical drawing of winning tickets, under supervision of CIS staff.

Odds:

each raffle ticket represents one eligible entry in the drawing. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible tickets sold at the time of each drawing.

Winners

  1. Winning tickets for Alaska Airlines prizes will be removed from subsequent drawings.
    Winners of all other prizes will remain eligible for subsequent drawings unless otherwise stated.
  2. The winner will be notified by the CIS committee via phone and/or email within 48 hours of the drawing.
  3. If a winner fails to claim the prize within 14 days of notification, a backup winner will be drawn.
  4. Winners must present a valid government-issued photo ID to claim their prize.
  5. Winners are solely responsible for any federal, state, or local taxes or fees associated with prize acceptance or use.
  6. Prizes are non-transferable and may not be redeemed for cash unless otherwise required by law.

Cancellation

in the event of circumstances beyond the reasonable control of CIS, including force majeure events that prevent the Cinema Italian Style Festival from occurring as scheduled, CIS reserves the right to postpone the drawing, conduct the drawing independently of the festival, or take any other action required to comply with applicable law.

Governing Law

this raffle shall be governed by the laws of the State of Washington.
Void where prohibited by law.
